Silverbyte 2011 customers’ annual convention

Tel Aviv, June 28th, 2011 – Over 100 hoteliers, customers and partners converged for Silverbyte 2011 customers’ annual convention at the Herods Tel Aviv Hotel.

Silverbyte Chairman of the Board, Mr. Avi Moscona, emphasized the company’s continuing commitment to build strong, mutually profitable relationships with its customers and keep on developing new and innovative products that will contribute to the success of the hotels.

Einav Cohen, CEO Silverbyte Israel, introduced the Optima CRM and the opportunity the hotels have now to build up better, more efficient and more profitable relationship with the hotels’ guests and customers (agents and companies), by knowing them better and register their requests and preferences in one database that will serve all the hotels in the group for many years. This data will serve the hotels for new reservations, marketing activities, campaigns, statistics and so on (read more about Optima CRM). Einav also showed some of the CRM web applications built for Smart-phones for the use of managers and sales people out of the office.

The conference was a good opportunity for Einav to launce the Optima “Go Green” project. The products included in the project allow the hotel to go the extra mile and reduce the total amount of paper used by implementing Optima green solutions. These solutions include the Optima Express Check In – advance check in that can be done on the Internet or Smart-phones saving the need to print registration cards, Express Check Out that includes presentation of guest folio on an iPad, or similar device, instead of printing folio statement and sending the invoice to the guest or company directly by email. These modules join other green modules such passports and IDs scanning and others. “Silverbyte has always thought green and the Optima programs were developed with the thought that information should be read and not printed” said Einav Cohen. “In the “Go Green” project we took the additional step to save the environment by encouraging the hotels’ guests to share the efforts. The advanced technology, available to anyone today on the Internet and cell-phones, can help us all reduce the amount of trash generated by needless printing of documents and forms”. (Read more about the Optima Go Green solutions).

Next to speak was Liraz Swissa, Manageress of GOC, who talked about new direct connections from Optima PMS to sales channels and the growth of the online markets in the Israeli tourism industry.

The highlight of this year’s conference was the lecture of Dr. Zvi Barak, General Manager of Gishot Centre, about excellence and "The model for excellence explained", in reference of achieving more by using the CRM options intelligently.
